Yoga is not for everyone, but it is something that can benefit anyone.  What might seem like a bunch of awkward stretches is actually a system of breathing and stretching that is designed to heighten exercise and flexibility, all following an ancient belief system that dates back at least 5,000 years.

Vedic wisdom—what yoga is based on—is, indeed, quite ancient. That is why Euro-spa retraite de yoga practitioners have developed seven modern spiritual laws of yoga that more accurately benefit people of the modern age.

The LAW of PURE POTENTIALITY

According to the laws of yoga, all of nature—all that we believe we can experience—is just a matter of consciousness.  Basically, it should be a priority to realize that we have an infinite field of consciousness that equally contributes to an infinite creativity and potential.

The LAW of GIVING and RECEIVING

It seems like it should be common sense but there is an ebb and flow to life. You might also know this is “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”  We inhale and we exhale; we sit still and we run fast.  There light and dark, effectively.  This law says, then, you need to give if you want to receive—no matter your definition of success.

The LAW of KARMA

Similar to the previous law, karma basically follows that every action—every choice we make—has a consequence.  If we make good choices, the consequences are typically very good, too; but if we make bad choices…

The LAW of LEAST EFFORT

The Law of Least Effort says, basically, that you should pursue the things you love the most.  When you do this, you will work harder and longer but it will still feel effortless; that makes it easier to succeed and, more importantly, to overcome obstacles and hardships.

The LAW of INTENTION and DESIRE

We all have desires.  Yoga, though, says that you should quiet your mind and not think only about what you want, but how you intend to go about getting it.  This is how you will develop the healthy habits you need to not only succeed at getting what you want, but also in living a happy, fulfilled life.

The LAW of DETACHMENT

Basically, learn to let go.  It is easy to focus only on how hard you work or on what you are trying not to lose.  Yoga helps us to focus only on the moment, removing depression over the past and anxiety over the future.

The LAW of DHARMA

Dharma is the Vedic term given to describe your “purpose” in life.  Yoga, then, can help you to figure out your skills, talents, temperaments, and abilities to help you find your dharma.
