To start from a whole new level of bodybuilding or exercising can be a bit difficult. As you go for the first visit to your gym it can be very frightened because when you give an eye around you, the first thing pops up in your head is where am I? What is this place? How do these things work? Seeing some people doing hard exercise makes you a bit more nervous than that of when you first stepped into the gym. Well, now we’re going to see some daily routine machines.
EQUIPMENTS
Well as we all know gym contains two types of equipments:
1) Free weight
2) Machines
The Barbell
A barbell structure is seen to be 4-7 feet long rod and used for attaching plates and it can be performed by using both hands. One of the most used barbells is an Olympic barbell of 7 feet long and approximate weight of 20kg. Then there are strong bars which can hold a lot of heavyweights which can be extended to 360kg then some bars can lift up to 1000lbs because they are made for heavy exercises such as deadlifts and hips exercises. There are some small bars as well which are of 6 feet and used for common and easy exercises such as shoulder exercises. There are some home gym barbells too which are standard in size.
Free Weights
The most possible reason of them calling free weight is because they are the most commonly used gym machine to use and there are no wires or weight pockets nor cables pulleys attached to it and Barbells, dumbbells, and weight plates are counted in free weights
Dumbbells
If you see a dumbbell you will see a barbell but in shorter form. A dumbbell is normally 10-15 inches long rod and it can be handled with one hand for different body exercises. If you go to a gym or a gym store you can see a rack of dumbbells containing different types and weights of dumbbells starting from 5lbs to 100lbs. There are small weights adjustable dumbbells too by which you can easily switch weight plates of your choice they are much less in price and take less space.
Weight Plates
Plate weight window is from 2.5lbs to 100+ lbs and is normally made of iron, Well many home setups have plates made of plastic and there’s York plastic barbell set is easily available too beginners usually count on plastic set. All Olympic weight plates are made up of pure iron stuff and it can be categorized into two types of iron weights; one is Olympic plates for Olympic barbells and another is standard weight for standard size barbells.
Triceps bar
It’s also called the EZ bar but it can help you in different body muscle besides triceps. Curl Bars
For Biceps and Triceps exercises Curl Bars are used, they are shorter than the normal barbell and contain hand grips placements too. This is ideal because it can help you in decreasing straight stress on your wrist while you are working on your muscle with different angles.
Chin-up Bars
By the name chin-up, you can easily think of the machine and its use. Chin up bar is either attached the exercise machine or straight to the wall facing you and it’s great to stretch your back, biceps, and arms with it.
Dipping Bars
A dipping bar made up of two parallel straight bars allows you to put your whole body weight on that bar and dip it on it and is great to help with chest workout, shoulder, and triceps.
